About me
From software development to consulting with a systemic approach

Key Facts
- IT consultant for mid-sized companies and startups in the DACH region
- Focus: organizational, process, and technology consulting
- Multi-method approach
Motivation and professional background
As a software engineer, I’ve been supporting companies of various sizes and industries in their digital transformation since 2011. I’ve worked both as an employee and as a freelancer, for startups as well as established mid-sized companies. In leadership and hands-on roles. And always with a passion for solving problems through digital technologies.
After just a few years, however, one thing became clear to me: no matter how smart your technical solutions are, many of the daily challenges in software development persist because their root cause lies elsewhere—in processes and structures. This is frustrating and costs both time and momentum.
With my consulting work today, I pursue a clear goal: optimizing the interaction between technology, processes, and organization so development teams can work smoothly and effectively. This is how true engineering effectiveness is created—and everyone benefits from it: management, engineering teams, and product teams alike.
Education
- Master’s degree: Information Engineering & Management (University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, 2024)
- Bachelor’s degree: Software Engineering (University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, 2011)
My consulting approach
Many clients see the breadth of my professional experience as a key advantage: I know the day-to-day reality of developers firsthand, while also bringing in experience from project management and—through my master’s degree—a solid business perspective.
Where others think strictly in terms of role descriptions, I see interdependencies and system-level connections. By taking these into account, I help create not just short-term improvements, but sustainable results.
I choose my methods pragmatically. Concepts that shape my work include, among others:
- Team Topologies
- Domain-Driven Design
- Insights from current DevOps reports
The key is understanding what’s needed in each specific situation and combining the right methods to increase effectiveness.
I support companies throughout the entire DACH region. Most of our collaboration takes place remotely, but I’m also happy to work on-site with companies in Austria.
